Περιγραφή:	"A central information point for the Chios Eastern Shore Response Team (CESRT), an organisation assisting refugees on the island of Chios, Greece This page forms a central information point for the Chios Eastern Shore Response Team (CESRT). CESRT is a locally organised team of international volunteers dedicated to providing both immediate and long term support for both refugees on Chios, and for local people. We work closely with other actors on the island to provide support in many areas: Responding to boat arrivals on the island by providing immediate humanitarian care and alerting relevant medical/ rescue teams/ authorities when necessary. Responding to the needs of refugees on the island through distributions of necessary items for example clothes, shoes, shampoo, washing powder and sun cream. Initiating and supporting long term projects: The English Centre: Providing English and Greek lessons Toddler and Parents House. Providing financial, material and personnel support for unaccompanied minors at the local orphanage. Facilitating the availability of legal information for refugees. Working alongside other organisations and NGOs on the island. Helping locals of Chios: Charities; Churches; people in general need. Running beach cleaning projects to assist the local community in maintaining the natural beauty of the island. Large amounts of boat material collected is then recycled to make bags. We currently have a constant need for volunteers in the above areas. Please feel free to contact us if you are interested."
