Περιγραφή:	"Team Humanity was founded as a volunteer organization in September 2015 due to the ongoing refugee crisis in Europe. Their aim is to provide emergency aid work at the small Greek island Lesbos, where most refugees arrive by boat from Turkey. The majority of Team Humanity is young Danish volunteers, but also includes volunteers from Holland, Germany and the US. All the team members pay their own expenses when participating in the aid work, meaning that all donations made to the organization goes directly to provide the refugees with necessaries and nothing else. Team Humanity make an effort to always be able to provide a team of volunteers with the capacity to handle the needs of the arriving boat people. The volunteers works around the clock and is always present in the coast areas. The team is known for following their heart and trusting their gut feelings, and aim to assist as much as possible on the humanitarian work level. Our work: Team Humanity focus on the coasts where the refugees first arrive and the need for help is acute. The group's main priority is to get the fragile boats into shore without hitting rocks or capsize. Thanks to sound strong team work between Team Humanity and the other rescue teams on the island, most of the arriving refugees gets received in a safe manner. When the refugees have arrived safely at shore there are also volunteers ready on ground who helps everyone, but pay particular attention to children, elderly or the very weak ones. Team Humanity have many arab and farsi speaking volunteers which creates a safe feeling environment for the refugees, when they first arrive in Europe. After it has been made sure that everybody is okay, the team hand out dry clothes, blankets and water. Team Humanity further provide various help in the near-by refugee camps, such as help handing out beverages, food and clothes when needed. Team Humanity is always willing and ready to cooperate with other teams on the island."
